Market Day 2023

On the 6th and 7th of December the TY business classes came together in the school hall to sell their products from their own mini company. Mini Company is a programme all TY business students must take part in, it's an opportunity for students to create a product and to make some money.

The students have been working on each other's company since the beginning of the school year. After all the hard work, students sold their products to the school and public members. The companies ranged from homemade candles and crafts treats to teddies. During the Market Day guest speaker Dawn Finnegan, creator of Bombshell Beauty, came in to speak about her experience with making a business and which was very interesting and inspiring. She then went to each company to give her advice on their products and business. The theme of this year of Mini Company is sustainability, this promotes sustainable resources and recyclable packaging.

At the end of the Market Day rewards were given out to more successful, sustainable, and most organised businesses, with first place winners being: 'Have a Cuppa!' Well done to everyone who took part and a big thank you to the business committee and guest speaker Dawn Finnegan for the help and encouragement. There are many future entrepreneurs in our school, we look forward to seeing them succeed!
