Ecosia is a search engine based in Berlin, Germany. It donates 80% of its profits to non profit organizations that focus on reforestation. It considers itself a social business, is CO₂-negative and claims to support full financial transparency and protect the privacy of its users.
For each search you make, it plants 1 Tree! It is very easy to use and efficient. I have been using it for 2 months now and planted over 100 trees! You can get this extension on google chrome, Safari, Firefox and Microsoft Edge.
It was created by Christian Koll on December 7th 2009. Ecosia has over 15,000,000 users and is available in English and 27 other languages!
