Future Leaders Halloween Hunt
On Thursday, October 22nd, Ms Byrne’s Future Leaders class hosted a Halloween scavenger hunt for the first-year class 1C. The event took place around the available outdoor areas of the school, conforming to Covid-19 guidelines.
The class began planning the event the week before during their Future Leaders class time as part of their event management module. They designed the hunt. Planning riddles for the first years to solve in order to find letters which spelt a Halloween related word. The first group to solve the hunt would receive a prize, chocolate! But not to worry there were enough sweets bought for the whole class to receive a small prize for taking part.
On the day the classes met during second class on the basketball courts. The first years were split into groups of five with two fourth-year students ready to lend a helping hand if necessary. 1C were all eager to join in and possibly win. In the end, the hunt was over much sooner than anticipated leaving plenty of time for the girls to chat and play a few ice-breaker games before returning to class.
1C were a great group to work with. They were all keen to take part and do their best. The fourth years found it to be a great learning experience and hope to plan another event in the future for the class.
