TY Bowling Day

During the week of Monday, 17th of October 2022, the TY year classes were treated with an outing to the Leisureplex in Coolock for a day of bowling adventures. This trip was part of the new PE+ program within the school which allows for more opportunities during the designated PE time for TY classes. This program is part of the school’s scheme to enhance the TY experience of all its students. The year group went in two different groups at separate times; half the year group went on Monday the 17th while the remaining students went on Friday the 21st.

Upon arrival, students were welcomed to a vibrant and exciting interior, full of arcade games and, of course, the bowling lanes. After collecting their bowling shoes and settling into the lanes, the competition began! With an unknown prize on the line for the top scorer of the day, every student was competing for the win. Although each person wanted to win, everyone was laughing and having a great time with their friends which was the main focus of the day. Everyone bowled for around an hour and at the end the winning score ended up being a massive 134 points! The prize was an item of the students choice from the nearby Starbucks paid for by one of the supervising teachers on the day. The fun didn’t stop there though as there were plenty more arcade games to play! From racing games to air hockey, the students did it all. Everyone had a great time and it was a great bonding experience for the whole year group.
