Homework Club

Homework Club

Homework Club is a fun and interactive way for 1st year students to do homework after school with help from a TY student. The 4th year students help the 1st years with their homework every Monday after school from 4:15 to 5:15 in the atrium while also getting to know them. They help them out with any problems or questions they might have.

How it works is at the start of the year, a group of 1st year students come in to get assigned to a student from 4th year. This 4th year stays as their partner until about early to mid December. In Homework Club, all the students are offered biscuits and juice throughout the session and every week the students get to know their 1st year students better and better; talking and laughing, giving them advice about the school and giving them study suggestions. It is a nice way for 1st years to settle in and for 4th years to see what it is like to be a mentor and is overall a great experience for both groups of students.
