JPIC Trip

On the 10th of December, two groups of Transition Year JPIC module classes went on a trip to the Irish Aid Office in Dublin at the Offices of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
While on this trip the students were given a highly informative presentation about the Irish Aid Organisation and what they do. Students learned how the Government invests in developing particularly the rural communities of it partner countries with bilateral aid. There was also information given on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that were introduced by the UN (United Nations) that are hoped to be achieved by 2030. After the presentation the students got to participate in an enjoyable activity which included the SDGs and answered questions based on their knowledge.
Overall this was a great experience and is highly commended if you get a chance to participate.
